JOHOR BAHRU, 4 December: Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM) researchers won 15 gold medals, 12 silvers, nine bronzes and a Special Award from the National Research Council of Thailand at Seoul International Invention Fair 2011 (SIIF 2011), which ended today.

SIIF 2011 saw a total of 663 research and development products contested from various research and development institutions and higher learning institutions from 31 countries.

Among the countries participating in the annual invention fair were United States, Russia, Germany, Slovenia, Thailand, South Korea, Italy and Romania.

SIIF is Asia’s biggest innovation fair organized annually by the Korea Invention Promotion Association (KIPA) and hosted by Korean Intellectual Property Office (KIPO).
