SURABAYA, June 9th – The UTM-ITS International Leadership Programme was held from June 4th to June 9th, 2023. This programme was a collaboration between UTM International (UTMi) and Institut Teknologi Sepuluh Nopember (ITS) in Surabaya, Indonesia.

The primary goal of this program was to appreciate and recognize the leaders of Majlis Perwakilan Pelajar (MPP) Session 2021/2022, Global Buddies High Committee, and the International Student Society (ISS), in addition to developing leadership skills.

There were a total of 12 participants, along with three advisors: Madam Norfaeza Binti Ali, Mr. Mohd Khirie Mutalib, and Mr. Muhammad Hanif.

During the program, participants had golden opportunities to immerse themselves in Indonesian culture through various activities, including the Surabaya City tour, campus tour, cultural classes, and an adventurous trip to Mount Bromo.

Participants also attended several Leadership Talks, such as “TWIL: That’s What I Learn” and “Character Development Strategy” (by Mr. Raynaldi) and “Towards Better Organization” (by Miss Faiqah Augustin).

The UTM-ITS International Leadership Program 2023 was undoubtedly a success.

We received positive feedback from the participants, and many of them mentioned that they had created lasting memories, not to mention the warm welcome they received from the Indonesians.

We extend our gratitude to Devi, Arlyne, Rian, Nabillah, Anna, Raynaldi, and the UTM International officers for organizing this exceptional program.
