In a remarkable achievement for the American Chemical Society-Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (ACS-UTM) International Student Chapter, it has been awarded a prestigious grant to support the attendance of a UTM student member at the highly anticipated 27th Annual Green Chemistry & Engineering Conference.
The conference, hosted by the Green Chemistry Institute of the American Chemical Society, serves as a platform for leading researchers, scientists, engineers, educators, and industry professionals to gather and exchange ideas on sustainable and environmentally friendly practices in the field of chemistry and engineering.
Muhammad Hafiz Nor Sham, a student from UTM’s Department of Chemistry, Faculty of Science, represented the student chapter at the conference, which was held in Long Beach, California USA from 13th June to 15th June 2023. His participation proved to be a remarkable opportunity for broadening his knowledge and skill set in green chemistry and engineering, as he was exposed to new ideas, techniques, and technologies within the field.
