Johor Bahru, 18 Feb- Faculty of Chemical and Energy Engineering has organized an Industrial & Innovation Showcase in conjunction with the 4th International Conference on Separation Technology (ICoST 2023). The first-ever showcase was organized by the Faculty of Chemical and Energy Engineering (FKT) in collaboration with the Centre for Community and Industry Network (CCIN), UTM and the Centre of Lipids Engineering and Applied Research (CLEAR), UTM.

Visitors from various industries visited the booth at the showcase.

The FKT Industrial & Innovation showcase that was held in Holiday Villa, Johor Bahru, aims to be a platform for consultation and research innovation as well as to foster potential industry-university collaboration among UTM researchers with participating industries. Several academic staff and research groups from FKT have participated in the showcase and shared their research innovation. Industrial players from Dyson, Lotte Chemical Titan, VS Industry, Mise Energy and Mr Azuki Tahir, CEO and founder of Herbagus Trading, were among the visitors.

Biomaterial and Processing, Membrane Technology, Fuel cells, Biomass Pretreatment Systems, Food and Biomaterial Engineering, Engineering Sustainability and Product Design, Health Safety and Environment (HSE), and Oil and Gas training and services are among the topics covered during the showcase.

Also present during the showcase was the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Research & Innovation) UTM, Prof. Dr Rosli Illias. Prof. Dr. Rosli has visited all the booths at the showcase, accompanied by Prof Dr Mohd Azizi Che Yunus, Director of ICoST 2023, and Assoc. Prof. Dr Norhaniza binti Yusof, the Program Manager of FKT Industrial & Innovation Showcase. It is hoped that this showcase will serve its objective of fostering potential industry-university collaboration among UTM researchers and participating industries.
