Kolej Siswa Jaya (KSJ) Communal Day 2023 was held by Jawatankuasa Kolej Mahasiswa (JKM) Kolej Siswa Jaya to clean up the surrounding area of Kolej Siswa Jaya. The programme started ealr in the morning and finished by afternoon. It was conducted as one of the ways to educate the importance of cleanliness to the participants.

This programme acts as one of the ways to strengthen the bond between the fellows, the committee and also the residents of KSJ. Furthermore, this programme has been used to give more exposure to the participants about the Sustainable Development Goals (SDG).

At 8.30 a.m., 6 fellows and 26 participants came to participate in the programme. All of the participants filled out the registration form and gathered for the briefing session held by the programme director at 9.00 a.m. After 15 minutes of briefing, all participants went for a warm – up session before the session begin.

At 9.20 a.m., the programme started by cleaning the store of JKM C as the target place. All the items on the store were brought out and sorted according to its usage. After that, the store has been washed and cleaned while all of the unwanted items were disposed and recycled. All participants took a 45 – minutes break at 10.15 a.m.

At 11 a.m., the programme resumed and all of the items that could be reused for the next programme is stored back in the store. All the recyclables’ items, such as boxes and electronic waste, were sold on the following day, thus adding more fund for JKM KSJ.

The programme ended at 1.30 p.m. with a group photo session .
