The United Nations (UN) created the ‘Lazy Person’s Guide to Safeguarding the World’ to ensure that everyone participates in conservation and preservation efforts in the fight against climate change.
To respond to this appeal, Kolej Tun Razak (KTR) student leaders organized a beach clean-up along Batu Layar Beach on 24th March 2022, to instil the attributes of environmentally sensitive and responsible citizens.
A total of 80 students took part in the activity and they were able to collect 60 mounds of trash along the coast.
This sustainability programme, which is part of World In Sustainability And Environmental 2022 (WISER’22), made Pengerang Town Council and Universiti Tun Hussein Onn Malaysia’s Mechanical Club to collaborate, and instil in them the importance of conserving and protecting nature in the surrounding area for the sake of sustainability and the preservation of living habitats in the coastal area.
