School of Human Resource Development and Psychology (SHARPS), Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities under Integrity and Good Governance (IGG) research group has organized Virtual Data Analysis Workshop using SmartPLS. The virtual workshop was conducted in four sessions held from 6 to 7 March 2021 and 13 to 14 March 2021. Each session was conducted for 5 hours daily to make sure all participants can really grasp and have enough time to practice what they have learned.

This virtual workshop was conducted by Assoc Prof Dr Siti Aisyah Abdul Rahman Panatik’ an expert in analyzing data using SmartPLS software. She was chosen as the speaker for this workshop based on her vast experience in conducting this kind of workshop. There were 22 participants who joined in this virtual workshop from all over the world including participants from Finland and Saudi Arabia.

This virtual workshop has been divided into four sessions which include theory and hands on sessions. The first session covered the fundamental part of analysis using SmartPLS software. This included the requirement of data that need to run analysis in SmartPLS software. Participants were also introduced on the interface of SmartPLS software at the end of session 1. The second session included more hands on and practical on SmartPLS software and most of the participants managed to produce their own model using SmartPLS software.

The second half of the virtual workshop started in session 3 where the participants learnt about the mediation analysis. The last session of this workshop provided insights on moderation analysis and multi-group analysis. Both sessions 3 and 4 also involved some hands-on exercise to all the participants to make sure they would be able to do the analysis by themselves after the workshop ended.

Towards the end of this virtual workshop, there were participants who requesed further workshops about AMOS data analysis to explore more on structural equation modeling analysis. Group photos also were taken at the end of this workshop.
