While representing UTM, Azwad managed to get 18 distinct awards up to National level, including the Championship Award of Malaya Makerthon 2019, Championship of Global Startup Weekend Melaka 2018, Championship of University App Challenge 2017, and many more. On the other hand, he was an active participant on the Academic side by working as a Research Assistant for 2 and half years with many prominent lecturers including Prof. Madya Ir. Dr Norhaliza Binti Haji Abd Wahab, Associate Prof. Dr Yeong Che Fai, Dr Mohd Amri Bin Md. Yunus, Dr Khairul Hamimah Binti Abas, Ir. Dr Kumeresan A/l A.danapalasingam, and many more. Furthermore, he was on the Dean’s List for every single semester.

While asked about how he managed his time to achieve such a balance, Azwad said the following:

“The Best Decision I ever made was to put more task on my basket than I thought I could do. One way to achieve that was to register for an event every weekend possible. This let me utilize my free weekend time instead of wasting it on sleeping. We got 52 weekends in a year, 208 weeks in the study period. That’s a substantial amount of time that can be utilized. And let’s not forget about the 3 months break. That time is a heaven for anyone who wants to learn. With that being said, the most important aspect of moving you forward is blessings from God (Barakah). That’s why praying to Allah (SWT) for what you exactly want is a must. Alhamdulillah, Allah (SWT) has answered my prayers. In sha Allah, he will answer your sincere prayers too.”

Azwad had excellent relations with people all around UTM. Whether it is the faculty officials, the students or the lecturers, he created peaceful bonding with everyone: his academic adviser, Professor Dr Yahaya Md. Sam, said “Azwad is a very helpful, hardworking, intelligent young man. We are proud of his outstanding achievements. I wish him all the best for all that is to come ”.

The final question was, who would he like to thank for all his achievements. This is Azwad’s reply:

“All the credits belong to Allah (SWT), and all the mistakes are mine. Alhamdulillah, Allah (SWT) has given me amazing parents, namely Prof. Md. Fazlul Haque and Mahmuda Begum, who blessed me with the freedom to choose who I wanted to be. My sister, Tabassum, and my brother, Mahfuz, gave me the support to call Malaysia my second home. As for the academic side, my lecturers (each and every one of them) were a blessing straight from God; the amount of positivity and care that our teachers delivered is simply insurmountable. And, let’s not forget my friends, both in class and outside, juniors and seniors. The emotional support that I got in each and every day from them is unbelievable. Alhamdulillah, I am extremely grateful to each and everyone here in UTM, and I pray to Allah (SWT) that He bless them all with peace and tranquility in this life and the hereafter. Ameen.”

Currently, Azwad is working as a R&D Engineer at ViTrox Corporation Berhad, Penang, Malaysia. He fervently hopes that everyone will keep him in their prayers so that he can use his abilities for the improvement of the societies in Malaysia, and all around the World.
