Putrajaya, November 5, 2019-Jurnal Teknologi (Sciences & Engineering) has been selected as the recipient of the Crème Potential Award for 2019. This is the first recognition won by the journal since its inception in 1977 and since being indexed by Scopus in 2011. The journal has shown continuous and significant improvements in its performance in international databases within the fields of Science, Technology and Medicine in 2019.
Jurnal Teknologi (Sciences & Engineering) is led by Professor Dr. Rosli Md Illias as chief editor and he is assisted by a team of experts from various areas as editorial members. The journal is published six times a year and the latest issue can be accessed at https://jurnalteknologi.utm.my.
The award was presented by the Director General of Higher Education, Datuk Ir. Dr. Siti Hamisah Tapsir during the Malaysia’s Research Star Award (MRSA) and CRÈME Journal Recognition ceremony held at Zenith Hotel Putrajaya on November 5, 2019. The event was officiated by the Secretary General of Ministry of Education Datuk Dr. Mohd Gazali Abas.
The Crème Award was first introduced in 2015. The award is the Ministry’s acknowledgment given to high performance scholarly journals published in Malaysia and indexed in MyCite, following a set of criteria outlined by the Citation and Infometrics Division, Department of Higher Education in collaboration with two prestigious indexing agencies, Web of Science and Scopus.
The MRSA Award recognizes and honors local researchers for their outstanding performances in scholarly publication.
