The Razak Faculty of Technology and Informatics (RFTI), Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM), Malaysia has successfully organized its 2019 Research Week from the 15th until 18th October 2019 at UTM Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
In conjunction with this event, the Advanced Informatics Department (formerly known as the Advanced Informatics School) of RFTI, hosted the 5th Postgraduate Annual Research on Informatics Seminar (PARIS 2019) on 16th October.
The opening speech was delivered by the Deputy Dean of Research, Innovation, Development & Alumni of RFTI.

Two keynote speakers, Dr Ahmad Fazreen Baharudeen from DataMicron System Sdn.Bhd. and Mr. Sadesh Manikam from Airasia Berhad shared their experiences with the audience and participants. They are actively involved in numerous ICT and data analytic projects in different industries such as the public sector, telecommunication, manufacturing, airline and education.

Participants from various universities came to present their work. All accepted and presented papers are going to be published in the Open International Journal of Informatics (OIJI), an international peer-reviewed journal (Open Access) dedicated to the latest advancement of Informatics, December 2019 issue. Three papers have been selected to receive the best paper awards at the closing ceremony of the Research Week.
