The International Conference on Sustainable Environmental Technology (ISET2019) was held on 20 – 22nd of August 2019 at DoubleTree by Hilton, Johor Bahru. This conference was officiated by Dr. Mohd Zamri Mohd Yusop, the Chairman of ISET 2019.
The conference, with the theme, “Advanced Research for Pollution Control, Energy and Biomedical applications” involved more than 120 participants had successfully ended. It also involved over 20 committees in collaboration with the Ministry of Education (MOE), the Department of Higher Education, the Frontier Materials Research Alliance (FMRA) and MyMembrane Society.

ISET 2019 had reached its goal to establish networks of professionals and researchers worldwide to discuss current technology development in different field and the strategies employed in maintaining the sustainability of the environment specifically in the scope of:
Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency (REE)
- Biomaterials/Bioprocessing/Biotechnology (BIO)
- Membrane Technology (MET)
- Advanced Materials Processing and Technology (AMT)
- Thin Film/Nanomaterials Fabrication and Application (TFF)
- Water and Waste Water Treatment (WWT)

At the same time, the Grand Dinner for ISET 2019 was held on 21st August in the evening.

In conjunction with the conference AMTEC also organized a Pre-Conference Workshop titled “High Impact Publication Writing Workshop” on 19th August 2019. This workshop was held at Block N29a, Advanced Membrane Technology Research Centre (AMTEC). The workshop aimed to provide participants with the skills and understanding needed for successful publication.
