Universiti Teknologi Malaysia continues soaring high internationally when its performance improved and leaped 11 places to 217th in the Quacquarelly Symonds (QS) World University Rankings 2020, recently.
Since 2014, UTM has moved up 138 places while over the seven years being considered, the institution moved up five times.
In the 2020 edition, the institution performed among the top 21% in the QS World University Rankings.
This significant performance is largely attributed to the strong commitment by UTM faculty members to provide the best support in facilitating students’ learning experience, while harnessing potential talents among students to strive for excellence.
UTM is also set to engage in more impactful research collaborations that can ultimately lead to improved performance through joint publications and increased citations. Researchers are always encouraged to work collaboratively with people from other fields and other universities as well as industries so that network is built and we can all learn from each other.
At the same time, UTM will continue its efforts in enhancing research collaborations with partners across the globe, especially in areas of mutual interests.
This would help UTM researchers to leap forward and stay relevant and visible among peers at the global level.
UTM Management would like to congratulate and thank all UTM staff and students who have created such an impactful synergy and contributed to this success.
