KUALA LUMPUR, 21 Oct. – Kudos to our architecture students from Faculty of Built Environment and Surveying (FABU) to have won awards in Pertubuhan Arkitek Malaysia (PAM) Annual Architecture Student Works Exhibition 2018!
Diploma, Undergraduate and Master’s students of Architecture were selected to receive awards during the closing ceremony of the PAM Annual Architecture Student Works Exhibition 2018 (PAASWE2018) at Ground Floor Highstreet, 1 Utama Shopping Centre, Bandar Utama, Selangor, yesterday.
UTM Diploma of Architecture students’ team won the best Booth Award for PAASWE (Silver Award) supervised by Associate Prof Dr Fawazul Khair bin Ibrahim and Mr Azari Mat Yasir.
Meanwhile, the Academic Excellence Award 2018 (Part 1) was awarded to Nur Sakinah Binti A Hadi from Bachelor of Science in Architecture Programme, while the Academic Excellence Award 2018 (Part 2) was awarded to Intan Liana Binti Samsudin from the Master of Architecture Programme for their academic excellence and best overall performance.
Other than that, undergraduate students Kung Zi Jing, Ho Wen Han and Lee Siew Jing won the Most Creative and Innovative award (Fourth Place) for the PAM Student Multimedia Competition 2018 entitled “The Factory” supervised by Dr. Leng Pau Chung.
PAASWE is an annual event organised by Pertubuhan Arkitek Malaysia (PAM).
It was successfully held from Wednesday, 17 October 2018 to Sunday, 21 October 2018. The theme for the year is “Architecture…For a Better World” in conjunction with the theme of World Architecture Day 2018.
The competitions were open to all students currently studying architecture in Malaysia.
The exhibitions and programmes included Architecture Students’ Work Exhibition, Booth Design Competition, Kertuk Buluh Design Competition, Stick Structure Competition, and Sketching Competition.
