gift-to-minister

MJIIT was established in 2010 as a joint venture between the governments of Malaysia and Japan to offer a Japanese-style education at the Kuala Lumpur Campus of Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM).

MJIIT offers an affordable, world-class education, which aims at educating future leaders within the ASEAN countries. The Malaysia-Japan International Institute of Technology is expected to play an important role in transforming higher education for a brighter future through transborder university initiatives.

MJIIT aims to develop and put into practice the Course Learning System called the “Course Jukebox” by developing a range of collaborated double or joint degree programmes. This aspiration is realized through the invitation of international education and research units from partner universities that offer the sharing of classes and teaching staff through the “Course Jukebox” system, and the sharing of international education and research units through joint appointments of researchers and staff.

It is expected that the students and faculty members between MJIIT and partner universities take advantage of all available global resources under the Transborder University Initiatives.
