JOHOR BAHRU, 4 April 2016 – The Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Republic of Azerbaijan to Malaysia, H.E. Qaley Allahverdiyev paid a courtesy visit to Vice Chancellor Professor Datuk Ir Dr Wahid Omar at his office, today.

The purpose of the visit was to discuss the collaboration in higher education between UTM and the government of the Republic of Azerbaijan such as staff and student exchange, as well as sharing of insights and expertise, particularly in the field of oil and gas.

Azerbaijan as one of the oldest oil and gas producing countries in the world is looking forward to send their students to pursue higher education in oil and gas, and education in UTM.

At the end of the 30-minute meeting, the UTM Vice Chancellor expressed his gratitude to H.E. Qaley Allahverdiyev for visiting UTM and hopes for stronger ties to be established in areas of mutual interests.
