KUALA LUMPUR, 12 January 2016 – Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM) and Tokyo City University, Japan, exchanged a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) and Student Exchange Agreement today. The MoU directly involves collaboration between UTM Malaysia-Japan International Institute of Technology’ (MJIIT) and Tokyo City University.
Prior to the signing of this MoU, MJIIT and Tokyo City University have been conducting various collaborative activities over the past years, including exchange of undergraduate students, exchange of researchers, and joint-research seminars. In March 2015, Tokyo City University officially joined the Japanese University Consortium for MJIIT as the 26th member.
With the Memorandum of Understanding signed today, it is hoped that our two universities can share our wealth of experiences and knowledge and further tap into existing expertise, generating impactful collaborations. It is only through such collaborations could transformational benefits be enjoyed by the society at large.
