LANGKAWI, 18 March 2015 – UTM-IBS in collaboration with the Department of Civil Aviation (DCA) Malaysia will collaborate in developing programs in Aviation Safety Management (Operation).

The main objective for introducing this program is to assist the nation in enhancing the knowledge and skills of pilots by providing advanced training in flight operation.

UTM-IBS will also provide management related courses alongside the Air Transport Pilot License (Helicopter) [ATPL(H)] training on helicopter pilot cadets. These courses include Management Science in Decision Making, Crew Resource Management, Disaster and Change Management.

Participating pilots will be trained in areas such as Safety Management System (Flight Operation), Air Crash Investigation, and Aviation Psychology.

The programs will be run through smart partnerships with industries and other academic institutions, both locally and internationally. UTM-IBS intends to offer the Aviation Safety Management (Operation) programs by June 2015 at the UTM Kuala Lumpur Campus.
