JOHOR BAHRU, Sept 24 – Kumpulan Abex Sdn. Bhd. (KABEX) in collaboration with National Instruments (NI), successfully hosted the NI Hands-On Workshop: Driving Innovation in Test and Measurement at Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM), Johor Bahru.
The workshop gathered a diverse mix of engineers, researchers, and industry professionals, all united by a shared passion for advancing test and measurement technology. The day kicked off with a warm welcome and an overview of NI’s newest innovations, setting the stage for a full day of learning and discovery.
This workshop combines knowledge sharing, live demonstrations, and hands-on practice with LabVIEW, Nigel AI, and cDAQ Integration, alongside opportunities to network with our experts and peers.
Participants were guided through interactive sessions on PCBA functional testing, LabVIEW integration, and Nigel AI applications, offering insights into how technology can transform data acquisition and testing workflows.
One of the event’s highlights was the hands-on demo session, where participants explored and experimented directly with NI mioDAQ, CompactDAQ (cDAQ), PXI, and Digilent’s Analog Discovery Series (ADS & AD2). The engaging session sparked lively discussion as participants tested live setups, analyzed data, and discussed potential applications for their own engineering and research projects.
With 36 participants, the workshop proved to be an engaging platform to foster knowledge exchange, practical learning, and industry-academia collaboration. It achieved its objective to bridge the gap between theoretical knowledge and real-world application, while promoting networking and idea exchange.
For KABEX, this workshop was more than an event, it was a platform to connect, inspire, and drive technological progress within Malaysia’s test and measurement community. Moving forward, KABEX and NI are committed to organize more collaborative programs that nurture innovation, inspire future engineers, and strengthen industry-academic partnerships.
