The MQA Rating System for Higher Education Institutions in Malaysia for 2011 (SETARA’11) has rated UTM as a Tier 5 (Excellence) institution. SETARA ’11 measures the performance of teaching and learning at undergraduate level. A total of 54 universities and university colleges participated in the exercise. The measurement of SETARA’11 comprises 26 criteria represented by 62 indicators from 3 primary domains of teaching and learning – input, process and output.
