As part of the Boot Camp 3.0 program, the Centre For Academic and Experiential Learning (CAEL) aims to help students manage their emotions and stress levels, allowing them to focus on their studies and effectively fulfill their responsibilities as students. Additionally, the program aims to assist students in managing their time efficiently so they can balance their academic commitments with non-academic activities and maintain a healthy lifestyle. Finally, the program seeks to inspire and motivate students to strive for academic excellence in the future. The program’s facilitators are the dedicated staff of UTM iLeague and exceptional students chosen by the MPP.

To realize the objectives of the programs, several activities are carried out, including six series of motivational talks by UTM inspirational lecturers: Dr. Muhammad Talhah bin Jima’ain, Dr. Noraini Binti Rusbadrol, and Dr. Lukman Hakim bin Ismail. The sessions successfully promote active two-way communication with the participants by integrating activities, thus making them more effective and interactive. Besides, several indoor and outdoor activities are incorporated into the 3-day and 2-night program for an enjoyable and meaningful experience. Through motivational talks and activities, the students make new friends across different faculties, improve their teamwork skills, encourage creativity, build confidence to speak in front of a crowd, share their experiences, and exchange opinions. The experience-sharing session with successful senior students inspires them to strive better in academics, encouraging them to open up to be more comfortable with several question-and-answer sessions as they are about the same age. As the program finished, feedback was gathered from the participants and among its facilitators to improve the program for the upcoming semester and achieve its ultimate goal of inculcating academic excellence in UTM students.
