Skudai, June 19, 2020 : The Society of Petroleum Engineers Universiti Teknologi Malaysia Student Chapter again has been awarded the Student Chapter Excellence Award for 2020. This prestigious award is the second highest honor for SPE student chapter being recognised as the top 20% of student chapters around the world. The award take into account of respective student chapter’s programs in industry engagement, operations and planning, community involvement, professional development, and innovation.
This award is a testimony to the diligent work and conscious effort that SPE-UTM SC invested in keeping the high standards of our chapter. It certifies the quality of SPE-UTM SC teamwork and effort to contribute to UTM and society which was recognised by industry and professional. It has been years since SPE-UTM SC received their very first award, and since then they have been striving high to achieve plenty of prestigious awards. The last time SPE-UTM SC was awarded this honourable award was in 2015. Therefore, this achievement is a glorious moment to them as the hard work is now paid off.
