KUALA LUMPUR, Apr 22 – The Faculty of Artificial Intelligence (FAI), Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM), through its Research and Innovation Office in collaboration with the Vehicle Engineering Safety (VES) Research Group, successfully organised AI Tech Tarik @ FAI Series 1/2026 at Menara Razak, UTM Kuala Lumpur. The programme is part of the AI Tech Tarik @ FAI initiative, a monthly knowledge-sharing platform involving all 10 Research Groups (RGs) within FAI. Designed as a one-hour informal yet impactful session, the initiative provides a structured platform for researchers to share ideas, technologies, and research outcomes, while strengthening internal collaboration and enhancing the visibility of AI-related research across the faculty.

The April 2026 session, which marked the commencement of the AI Tech Tarik @ FAI Series 1/2026, was hosted by the Vehicle Engineering Safety (VES) Research Group, led by Assoc. Prof. Ts. Dr. Roslina Mohammad. The involvement of the Vehicle Engineering Safety (VES) Research Group reflects FAI’s strength in integrating artificial intelligence with engineering and safety applications, particularly in areas such as predictive maintenance, structural integrity assessment, and risk analysis.

The programme began with an opening ceremony officiated by Dr. Mohd Azri Mohd Izhar, Research Manager of the FAI, followed by the technical sharing session. The session featured Assoc. Prof. Ts. Dr. Mohamad Zaki Hassan, as the invited speaker, delivered an insightful talk titled “Beyond the Lab: AI-Driven Insights from the Secondment Programme in Poland and Kosovo.”
