BANGI, Nov 8 — Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM), through the Centre of Student Recruitment and Admission (SRAD), Department of Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Academic & International), recently organised the prestigious UTM International Agent Awards Ceremony 2025 at Bangi Resort Hotel, Selangor. Themed ‘Glamorous Night’, the gala celebrated the dedication and exceptional contributions of UTM’s international recruitment agents, who play a vital role in attracting talented students from around the world.
The event brought together key partners, including Faculty representatives, underscoring their significant role in expanding UTM’s global reach and enhancing international student enrolment. Senior UTM leadership present included Prof. Ts. Dr. Intan Zaurah Mat Darus, Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Academic & International), and Prof. Dr. Noor Hazarina Hashim, Executive Director for the Centre of Student Recruitment & Admission (SRAD).
Both leaders highlighted the importance of strong international collaborations and the pivotal role of recruitment partners in elevating UTM’s global profile.
In her address, Prof. Ts. Dr. Intan Zaurah outlined UTM’s commitment to developing Global Talent, attracting international students, and preparing them to become future-ready professionals. She encouraged recruitment agents to contribute towards the university’s goal of increasing the number of international postgraduate students by 2026.
Meanwhile, Prof. Dr. Noor Hazarina emphasised UTM’s flexible learning pathways, including Massive Open Online Course (MOOC), Open and Distance Learning (ODL), and micro-credential programmes, which enable students to earn a UTM qualification while working and remaining in their home countries.
Besides promoting these initiatives, she encouraged partners to explore collaborations with government agencies, sponsors, and industry bodies, supporting sustainable international engagement and boarder access to global education.
The ceremony was expertly hosted by Nik Nur Shuhadah, whose engaging delivery added a touch of elegance to the evening. Guests were entertained by a captivating dance performance by Tingkah Masyhur, an award-winning group from Sekolah Kebangsaan (SK) Puncak Alam 2, followed by an energetic musical showcase by Triluxe, a rising trio renowned for their dynamic vocals.
A key highlight of the event was the recognition of UTM’s top international student recruitment partners for their achievements in 2024. The Inspiring Agent Award was presented to Asha Enterprise, Fareeda Rizq Enterprise, Shanghai QR Education & Technology Co., Ltd., Edumize Services Sdn. Bhd., and The Advisor Sdn. Bhd.
In the Top Performing Agent Award category, the Bronze Award went to Youruni Consultancy & Services, Mahisaf Global Services, and Huihang International (M) Sdn. Bhd., while the Silver Award was presented to Al-Ghufran for Educational Services & Consultation, Sinocean Consulting Sdn. Bhd., and Qingdao Qingchun Xuezi Education & Technology Co., Ltd. Pioneer Education Services Sdn. Bhd. earned the Gold Award for their outstanding performance in this category.
To conclude the ceremony, Pioneer Education Services Sdn. Bhd. was further honoured with the Most Outstanding Agent Award, the highest recognition of the night.
The ceremony drew to a close with a souvenir presentation to the guest of honour, followed by a group photo with all award recipients and guests. UTM expressed its sincere appreciation to all recruitment agents for their continued support, celebrating their achievements while strengthening partnerships for future global collaborations.
