KUALA LUMPUR, Sept 10 – The Centre of Hydrogen Energy (CHE), Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM), successfully hosted the 9th International Conference on Fuel Cell & Hydrogen Technology (ICFCHT 2025) on 10 to 11 September 2025 at Concorde Hotel, Kuala Lumpur. This flagship biennial event has become a cornerstone for knowledge exchange and collaboration in the hydrogen and fuel cell sectors, both within Malaysia and internationally.

The prestigious conference was officiated by Datuk Haji Hasnol Zam Zam Haji Ahmad, Secretary General of the Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation (MOSTI). In his keynote address, he reaffirmed MOSTI’s commitment to advancing hydrogen and fuel cell technology development as a national priority. He highlighted the alignment of ICFCHT 2025 with the National Energy Transition Roadmap (NETR) and the Hydrogen Economy and Technology Roadmap (HETR), both of which aim to accelerate Malaysia’s journey towards a sustainable, carbon-free future.
