MALANG, INDONESIA, 20th Feb. – Universitas Negeri Malang (UM) hosted a dynamic workshop aimed at revolutionizing its digital landscape. In partnership with Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM), the event brought together over 70 participants, including technical staff, web designers, and web developers. Leading the transformative event were Associate Professor Dr. Nor Azman Ismail from the Faculty of Computing, UTM and Mr. Mohd Sharul Hafiz from the Department of UTM Digital. , Professor Dr Hadi Nur from Universitas Negeri Malang served as chairman and workshop moderator, pivotal in guiding discussions and ensuring the content met UM’s specific needs.
The opening ceremony, graced by UM’s Vice-Rector for Research, Community Service, and Innovation,Dr. Ahmad Munjin Nasih, marked the commencement of the workshop. Dr. Ahmad emphasized the importance of staying at the forefront of digital advancements and commended UM’s commitment to enhancing the university’s digital landscape.
The workshop delved into crucial topics such as understanding the digital landscape, key factors influencing university website quality, designing websites to support world university rankings, adopting a top-down and bottom-up institutional approach, and enhancing academic presence through branding, visibility, and research.
The interactive nature of the hands-on workshop allowed participants to apply theoretical concepts directly, ensuring a practical understanding of the strategies discussed. The collaborative efforts and shared expertise during this event will contribute positively to Universitas Negeri Malang’s digital presence.
