Bangi, 25th Sept. – In a significant step towards a sustainable future for the energy landscape, the Institute of Future Energy, Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (IFE-UTM) visited the HiCoE Institute of Sustainable Energy, Universiti Tenaga Nasional (ISE-UNITEN) on September 25, 2023.
The IFE team, consisting of experienced researchers with diverse backgrounds in chemical, electrical, mechanical, and ocean thermal energy engineering, met for a dynamic exchange of ideas.
The discussions were characterised by enthusiasm and a shared vision to pioneer the next stage of sustainable energy solutions. The visit culminated in a series of fruitful deliberations that laid the foundation for a number of exciting joint research projects.
The proposed ventures are designed to leverage the strengths of both institutions and use their collective expertise to address pressing challenges in the energy sector.
A highlight of the visit was the exploration of opportunities for IFE researchers to join the National Energy Centre’s (NEC) prestigious research laboratory, UNITEN.
This integration promises a synergistic fusion of knowledge and resources, setting the stage for breakthrough results. “We are delighted to form this alliance between IFE-UTM and ISE-UNITEN.
Together, we are able to scale greater heights in our quest to achieve net zero carbon emissions by 2050.
“This is a critical step in our shared commitment to a sustainable and energy-efficient future,” said Assoc. Prof. Ir. Dr. Md Pauzi Abdullah, Director of IFE.
