At the Faculty of Management, we are committed to providing our students with an outstanding academic experience. On October 5th, 2023, we held the Academic Advising and Supervision Course at the Golfers’ Lounge in Horizon Hills. We extend our sincere appreciation to our esteemed speakers, Prof. Dr. Intan Zaurah Mat Darus, who currently serves as the Chair of the School of Undergraduate Studies, for presenting the updated Academic Regulations and Guidelines for the year 2023. She also emphasized the importance of academic counseling, which plays a critical role in unlocking the potential of students. Moreover, Prof Madya Dr. Noor Hazarina Hashim, the Chair of the School of Postgraduate Studies, shared strategies for managing doctoral students and providing feedback to students from diverse backgrounds.toral students and providing feedback to students from diverse backgrounds.

Both speakers provided good practices for becoming an academic advisor for undergraduate students and a supervisor for postgraduate students. The lecturers give positive feedback on how to advise undergraduates and supervise postgraduates during this session. The Chair of SPS emphasized the importance of having an open dialog with students, i.e., listening to their concerns and giving them constructive feedback to help them on their research journey. This one-day course provides lecturers with valuable experience in advising undergraduates and supervising postgraduates.
