Global Education: Exchanges for Engineers and Entrepreneurs (Ge4) in collaboration with Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM), had successfully organized the Ge4 Global Education Summit 2021 on 10 June 2021 from 5-8 pm GMT +8 (Malaysia Time) with the theme “Mapping Strategies to Reach Your Vision for Global Education in a Post-COVID World”. The summit had managed to bring diverse speakers from the United States of America (USA), France, Japan, Australia, Spain, The Philippines and Qatar.
As the Keynote Speaker, the CEO of Gateway International, USA, Dr. Anthony Ogden, presented his sharing titled “Next Generation Abroad: Where we’ve been and where we’re headed…” while the Pro-Vice Chancellor (International) of UTM, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Mohd Ismid Md Said, was the moderator for the session.
Associate Director (Global Strategy & Engagement), UTM International, Prof. Dr. Nor Haniza Sarmin, became the moderator for Forum 1 session with the theme “COVID-19 Challenges: Strategies in Strengthening International Collaboration between Partner Universities”, along with the panellists for this session, Director of International Affairs Office, Mr. Cesar Wazen from Qatar University, Qatar, Vice-Rector (International), Dr. Marius Martinez Munoz from Universitat Autonoma de Barcelona, Spain and Vice-President for External Relations and Internationalization, Dr. Laurene Chua-Garcia from De La Salle University, The Philippines.
Forum 2 session with the theme “Global Education in Enhancing Student Experiences – New Innovations” was featuring International Education Specialist, Prof. Tachibana Masahiko from Shibaura Institute of Technology, Japan, Head of Post Masters, Ms. Karen Peyronnin from Ecole des Ponts ParisTech, France and Senior Manager of International Mobility Programs, Mr. Simon Watson from University of Technology Sydney, Australia as the panellists. This session was moderated by Associate Director (Global Education & Experience), UTM International, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Mohd Ariffin Abu Hassan.
