A workshop on Outcome Based Education (OBE) was conducted at Azman Hashim International Business School (AHIBS) Convention Hall on 10th December 2020. The workshop that targeted to improve the current OBE system, was attended by program coordinators from AHIBS Johor Bahru.  

The invited speaker for the workshop was the developer of OBE system himself, Ir. Dr. Istas Fahrurrazi bin Nursyirwan from the School of Mechanical Engineering, Faculty of Engineering.  The workshop was aimed to enhance the academic teaching and learning delivery specifically on reporting students’ performance every semester.

As academic management needs to address challenges to meet the workshop objectives, OBE system has proven to be an important tool adopted by lecturers in Univeristi Teknologi Malaysia in analyzing the efficiency of teaching and learning delivery throughout semesters. 

Currently, the OBE system has been improvised to offer new friendly features such as an exit survey and Program Assessment Report. These features are important to support OBE system users to generate reports and data management for future use.  

Overall, this workshop had successfully enhanced the knowledge of OBE system including inputs to ameliorate the system for the benefit of its users.
