A group of electronics expert from the School of Electrical Engineering (SEE), namely STEM-RBTK SKE, shared their knowledge of electronics and robotics with students from Sekolah Menengah Kebangsaan Skudai (SMKS) through a project known as “Reka Bentuk Teknologi & Kejuruteraan”.  Providing educational kit based on electronics, robotics, and internet-of-thing (IoT), the community from SMKS were exposed and taught by STEM-RBTK from SEE UTM to empower the students with the knowledge. The education skills in return would benefit the students to be innovative and global.

In addition, Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM) could transfer the knowledge of electronics technology to mankind through tertiary education, that is to introduce and promote the secondary school students with the importance of electronics and engineering skills. Such an act of sharing would engage students’ interest to further their study or knowledge in higher education. Thus, UTM could be one of the chosen institutional educations for the students in the future.

To ensure the success of the programme, STEM-RBTK members have prepared more than ten interesting modules throughout the program. Every module was led by one of the members and assisted by other members. At the end of each module, the students were given a specific “task-of-the-day” to let them compete and show their understanding during each module. Hopefully, the programme would enable the students to have a better understanding of robotics, electronics, and engineering.
