JOHOR BAHRU, 1 Oct. — Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM) researcher from the School of Biomedical & Health Science, Faculty of Engineering, Dr. Hau Yuan Wen grabbed the first place in the MTDC Road2Growth Grand Finale Pitching Competition conducted by MTDC.

She won through the Institutes of Higher Learning category and secured RM15,000.

Previously she also has won the central region champion so she made her way through to the grand finale of pitching for whole Malaysia.

Additionally, UTM alumni, Dr Ruzimi Mohamed also gained the 2nd Runner Up for Small Medium Enterprise category in the MTDC Accelerator Final Pitching.
