Sakura Science Exchange Programme to embrace Japanese culture of innovation

The Sakura Science Exchange Programme is one of the prestigious programme sponsored by Japan Science and Technology Agency (JST) to embrace the culture of innovation and promoting advanced scientific work that been established by the institution in Japan.
This programme is an international program, where Japan’s host university will invite selected university from ASEAN country to bring their students to participate in the selected course available for the programme.

UTM Experts Collaborate with Malaysian Examination Council on New CEFR-Aligned MUET

Johor Bahru, 22 Oct 2019 – The Assistant Dean (External & Global Engagement) of the Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities, Dr Abdullah Mohd Nawi, received a courtesy visit today from officers from the Malaysian Examination Council, to discuss the ongoing implementation of the new CERF-aligned Malaysian University English Test (MUET) throughout the country. Four experts from FSSH UTM were involved in the formulation and implementation of the new MUET examination:
Assoc. Prof. Dr Abdul Halim Abd Raof, Dr Abdullah Mohd Nawi, Assoc. Prof. Fatimah Puteh, and Dr Nor Liza Hj Ali.

Faculty of Science Welcomes Visitors from International Partner and Peer University.

The Faculty of Science welcomed Dr. Muaawia Ahmed Hamza who is the Director of Biomedical Research Administration, Faculty of Medicine, King Fahd Medical City, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to discuss on a research progress with two researchers from the Department of Biosciences.

Meanwhile, the Faculty of Science also received a visit from the delegation of the Padang State University, Indonesia. The delegation consists of 111 students and 15 academicians. The visit aims to gain exposure on courses offered at the Department of Chemistry, Faculty of Science

International Cultural Day 2019: Straight from the Horse’s Mouth

This is history in the making; International Cultural Day 2019, the first of its kind had been successfully organised by FSSH and UTMi on 2 October 2019, at Dewan Tan Sri Ainuddin Wahid. Sri Lanka, the smallest contingent, had proudly participated along with 6 other countries namely Malaysia, Iraq, Japan, Sudan, Indonesia, and Nigeria and showed their esprit de corps with other fellow UTM international students.
