KUALA LUMPUR, 27 Mar. — The 2019 Asia-Pacific Association for International Education Conference & Exhibition (APAIE) once again reflects its theme, the ‘Diversity and Inclusivity of Higher Education in the Asia Pacific’ when a grand Gala Dinner was held in Grand Ballroom, Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre (KLCC), here.

Gala Dinner is part of APAIE tentative to celebrate the delegates in a showcase of cultural performance to expose them towards Malaysia’s diverse culture.

Delegates from 60 countries were entertained with several cultural performances such as Ulek Mayang, Indian Dance, Choirs, Chinese Orchestras, Punjab Dance from multiple local universities in Malaysia and followed by final performance from Sada Borneo.

Happiness were shone when delegates from Asian, America, Australasia and Europe continence joined the final dance in the event.

The Gala Dinner was also attended by the Minister of Education Malaysia, the Hon. Dr. Maszlee Malik.

In his speech, he stressed the main purpose of APAIE, which is, to bring together education experts from all over the world to the Asia-Pacific region.

“From practitioners to policy makers, here at the conference our goal is to do what we do best as educators which is to learn from each other.  

My sincere hope is that through these learning, the international community will continue to take education to newer heights both in terms of inclusivity and quality,” he said.

He also hoped that at the heart of it, educators in Malaysia must do the best and keep striving to inspire the students to reach their individual potential and leave them with values that can sustain and nurture this world – a world that hopefully will be kinder, more loving and one that respects the dignity of all beings.

In addition to that, he also expressed his gratitude to APAIE for giving Malaysia the opportunity to host this conference and to sponsors and speakers from all across the globe.

“This year is particularly record breaking as we have more than 2,500 delegates from 60 countries.

Congratulations to the lead host and co-hosts!” he said.
