MALACCA, 8 Nov. – Two Advanced Membrane Technology Research Centre (AMTEC) lecturers/researchers from Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM) received excellent recognition in the 2018 Malaysian Solid State Science and Technology Society (MASS) Young Researcher Award.

The Director of AMTEC, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Mohd Hafiz Dzarfan Bin Othman received MASS Young Researcher Award 2018 for his research on “Advanced Ceramic Materials for Membrane and Fuel Cell Technologies”.

Meanwhile Dr. Mukhlis bin A Rahman was given MASS Young Researcher Special Award 2018 for his research on “Phase Inversion and Sintering Technique, Ceramic Membrane and Crystalline Materials”.

They were awarded at the 30th Regional Conference on Solid State Science and Technology which was organized by MASS and the Islamic Science University Malaysia (USIM), here, today.

The Malaysian Solid State Science & Technology Society (MASS) Young Researcher Award 2018 is given once in two years.

The award is to recognize and reward the young researchers whose research are in solid state field, working in solid state science and technology, have outstanding achievements and contributions in solid state science and technology and must be below 40 years old.
