UTM organized a Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) Day program on 7 August 2018 to promote benefits of the lifelong learning to the students in Johor. By exposing students to STEM and giving the students opportunities to explore STEM-related activities, they will develop a passion for it and pursue studies in a STEM field. The program was organized in conjunction with the Iskandar Learning Festival 2018 and was attended by the Chairman of the Johor Islamic Affairs and Education Committee, Aminolhuda Hassan and Dean of the UTM Faculty of Science, Prof. Dr. Abdull Rahim bin Hj. Mohd Yusoff.
