There is always more to university life than mere academic achievements. Derek Chung Zhong Kang, a petroleum engineering student from Society of Petroleum Engineers UTM Student Chapter under Faculty of Chemical and Energy Engineering (FCEE) emerged as 1ST RUNNER UP in the Paper Competition in Process Engineering Energy Day in Universitas Indonesia, which took place in Jakarta, Indonesia.

As a fourth year student having to juggle between studies and final year project, the overwhelming pressure, however, did not stop him from participating in international competitions and bringing glory to SPE-UTM SC.
