The Energy Commission of Malaysia (Suruhanjaya Tenaga) has awarded the UTM Masters Energy Management Program (by taught course) the prestigious, game-changing recognition as the route for Energy Managers certification as REEM (Registered Electrical Energy Manager). This makes UTM MSc Energy Management the one and only Energy Management postgraduate program in the country to be able to award the Masters of Science Degree, as well as Professional Certification as REEM (Registered Electrical Energy Manager), thereby allowing graduates to practice as company energy managers and comply with the Efficient Management of Electrical Energy Regulation 2008 (EMEER 2008).
