Kuala Lumpur, June 2015 – Suzami Junaidah binti Arifin, a Universiti Teknologi Malaysia postgraduate student perusing her MSc in Engineering (Bioprocess) at the Faculty of Chemical Engineering, was one of the 11 recipients of the prestigious Yang di-Pertuan Agong Scholarship 2015.
The scholarship award giving ceremony was held at Dewan Seri Temenggong Istana Negara, Kuala Lumpur. All the award recipients had the privilege of meeting His Majesty Yang di-Pertuan Agong Tuanku Abdul Halim Mu’adzam Shah, in addition to other Malay Rulers present.
At the ceremony, His Majesty Tuanku Abdul Halim Mu’adzam Shah congratulated the recipients and advised them to exercise integrity and commitment.
The scholarship recipients have been picked for their outstanding academic and co-curricular achievements, and their display of exceptional creative and innovative mindset.
All recipients will receive a living allowance payment rate of fifty percent higher than the normal rate of the federal scholarship, handled by the Public Service Department (PSD).
Suzami Junaidah is now involved in research at UTM Institute of Bioproduct Development (IBD)
