Congratulations to a group of UTM Researchers for winning a list of prestigious Award of Merit during the 2nd World Inventor Award Festival 2013 (WIAF 2013) at the Seoul Garden, Korea on December 14, 2013.

The award recognizes outstanding performance and achievement by classified researchers who have passion in creating novel inventions and propel great innovations for the benefit of the global community.

Dr. Syuhaida Ismail from Razak School, won the Construction Order of Merit award, followed by Prof. Dr. Safian Sharif from the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering who won the Invention Academics & Education Order of Merit Award and the Manufacturing Order of Merit Award, Prof. Dr. Ruzairi Abdul Rahim from the Faculty of Electrical Engineering who also won 2 awards from WIAF 2013, which are the Electronics Engineering Order of Merit Award and Industrial Invention Order of Merit Award, and last but not least, Dr. Mohd Nazri Kama from Advanced Informatics School who won the Information Technology Order of Merit Award.

The organizers had received a total of 429 entries in total of which participated by 22 countries such as Malaysia, Hong Kong, Iran, Iraq, Tunisia, Saudi Arabia, Turkey, Qatar, Belgium, USA, Italy, Germany, China, Japan, Singapore, Egypt Poland, Malaysia, Korea, Indonesia, and Brunei .
