New Chairman of the Biotechnology Skills Development Advisory Committee
Prof. Ramlan Abdul Aziz was elected as new chairman of the Biotechnology Skills Development Advisory Committee (Jawatankuasa Penasihat Pembangunan Kemahiran Bioteknologi, Kementerian Sumber Manusia) for two years from today. The Committee is responsible for developing programs under the National Occupational Skill Standard (NOSS), which the skilled staff can be produced from among the Malaysians for the purpose of meeting the requirements of specific industries.

UTM-IBS ranked second among all Malaysian Business Schools
UTM-IBS has been ranked second among Malaysian Business Schools by the Webometrics Ranking of World Business Schools. The world ranking has also improved from 743th to 616th, based on the latest Webometrics Ranking for July 2011. Previously, IBS-UTM was ranked at the fourth at the national level. The Webometrics rankings are updated every six months.
