I REFER to the report “UTM to be given full autonomy” (NST, Jan 9).

Higher Education Minister Datuk Seri Mohamed Khaled Nordin explained that with the autonomy, the university would now take full responsibility for institutional governance, academic governance, financial management and human resource management. UTM is one of several to be given full autonomy.
