The School of Education, Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities (FSSH), Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM) has successfully hosted an International Educational Visit program for delegates from Universitas Negeri Jakarta (UNJ), on July 4, 2019.  The program was organized by the Panel of Chemistry Education, School of Education (SOE), FSSH under the leadership of Dr. Corrienna Abdul Talib, the coordinator for the chemistry education postgraduate program. Twenty-two participants  from the Graduate School of Chemistry Education , UNJ expressed their happiness and heartfelt gratitude for  the warm welcome they received from the academic staff  and postgraduate students from FSSH. Overall, they were satisfied with the knowledge gained on the current research in chemistry education throughout the visit.

The welcoming reception started with the recitation of doa followed by a welcoming address by the Director of Science and Mathematics Education and Creative Multimedia, FSSH, Dr. Megat Aman Zahiri Megat Zakaria and a video presentation on UTM and SOE as well as an introduction to the chemistry education program offered in UTM. Dr. Afrizal, the representative from UNJ gave his speech and conveyed his deepest gratitude towards UTM for the warm welcome. The program continued with a Q&A session on UTM focusing specifically on current issues in chemistry education research and the programs offered in UTM. The program ended with a campus visit for the delegates that was organized by one of the FSSH postgraduate students. The program provides the delegates with an opportunity to learn more about Malaysia in general and UTM specifically while simultaneously  helps to promote UTM and Malaysia.
