JOHOR BAHRU, 16 April 2016 – A memorandum of understanding between Universiti teknologi Malaysia (UTM) and Vision Technology Consulting (VTC) Sdn. Bhd. was formally established at an MoU signing ceremony between UTM and Global Business Service (GBS), an initiative by i2M Venture Sdn. Bhd., a wholly-owned subsidiary of Khazanah Nasional Bhd. The ceremony was witnessed by Dato’ Seri Mustapa Mohamed, Minister for International Trade and Industry (MITI), along his Deputy, Dato’ Seri Ahmad Maslan.

VTC is a company incorporated in Malaysia with its principal business activities focusing on information technology services. VTC is in the process of establishing a Near-Shore Development Centre in Iskandar Puteri, Iskandar Malaysia, Johor.

A partnership between VTC as an industry player and UTM is to enhance the education level in respect of Computer Science and Information Technology students by providing Oracle SOA Suite 11g Essentials 1Z0-478 Training and Certification for the purpose of enhancing the IT pool and employment in Johor, specifically for the needs of supporting business service companies in Iskandar Puteri.

The program is aimed at students from UTM who have achieved a CGPA of 3.0 and above from the relevant courses. UTM and VTC will jointly conduct the selection process of 50 students. The program will require the students to be with VTC for a total duration of six months.

The selected students will be trained by a senior Oracle certified trainer for the first month. The students will then be involved in actual projects conducted by VTC while being supervised by certified trainers for the next five months.

At the end of the program, the students will  sit for the Oracle Professional Certificate exam, which will entitle them to be professionally certified by the world-leading software solution provider. This could open a wide window of opportunity for the students to be employed by many multinational companies worldwide.
