RECOVERY CONTROL MOVEMENT ORDER (RMCO) IMPLEMENTATION (EFFECTIVE 21 NOVEMBER 2020)

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

ANNOUNCEMENT

RECOVERY CONTROL MOVEMENT ORDER (RMCO) IMPLEMENTATION

EFFECTIVE 21 NOVEMBER 2020

In line with the announcement made by the government to end the implementation of Conditional Movement Control Order (CMCO) in Johor on 21 November 2020, and the Recovery Movement Control Order (RMCO) to start on 22 November 2020, UTM will be operating following the Johor state RMCO status with a slight modification taking into account the present closure of schools, and kindergartens/TASKA/ child care centres which are still not operating fully.

Referring to the RMCO standard operating procedure (SOP), the number of staff allowed to Work From Office (WFO) is 75% while 25% of staff are allowed to Work From Home (WFH) based on rotation.  Staff who are required to Work From Office (WFO) automatically do not have to apply to enter the university campus.  On the other hand, applications to work from home need to be made online via UTMSmart or this website: my.utm.my pending the approval of the Head of PTJs. However, this does not apply to staff under the essential services category. This implementation is applicable to UTM Johor Bahru and Pagoh campuses while UTM KL will still be applying the present SOP.

WFH staff need to record their working hours from home via GPS Check-In/Out available on UTMSmart application. Failure to do so is an offence and strict action can be taken as stipulated in the rules and regulation of the university. All staff are also reminded to always abide by the WFH rules and regulations as specified by the Public Service Department (JPA).

WFO staff are required to follow the Guideline for Entering and Exiting Campus and UTM community members are required to always follow the standard operating procedure (SOP) issued by the National Security Council (MKN), Malaysian Ministry of Health (MOH),  and Ministry of Higher Education (MOHE).

For further information about RMCO, please contact the Department of Registrar through these numbers: 0167300969 (UTMJB – Puan Saidatul Akmal Abdul Hamid), and 014-9501833 (UTMPAGOH En. Mohd Farid Rahmat). UTMKL staff can contact this number: 0126620515 (UTMKL – Puan Nurulhaslinda Muhd Sidek) for WFH related matters or enquiry,  or email to bsm@utm.my.

Please note the hotlines during RMCO/CMCO which can be accessed at https://www.utm.my/hotline/.

Thank you for your attention and action.
