The high commission of India, Kuala Lumpur is accepting applications from Malaysian Indian students pursuing full-time courses in universities, colleges, polytechnics, and other institutions in Malaysia for one-time financial assistance from the ‘Indian Scholarship & Trust Fund (ISTF)’. The high commission of India, Kuala Lumpur, administers a scheme under this ISTF, through which a small amount of financial assistance, approximately RM1,000 per year, is provided to a few meritorious Malaysian Indian students pursuing their higher education locally. The ISTF acts as an incentive for economically weaker sections of the Malaysian Indian community to study harder and score excellent result since only the meritorious students will be rewarded.
New ISTF application forms are available when the scheme is open in August-September every year. Applications that are submitted after the closing date will be rejected.
