AHIBS received delegates from Chandaria School of Business, USIU, Kenya to participate in the Executive Study & Tour Program, 2019 which was held on 21-26 July 2019. This is the third consecutive year the University sends its students to AHIBS for their overseas mobility program.
The program, led by Dr. Suzilawati Kamarudin and assisted by Dr. Maizaitulaidawati Md Husin, Dr. Nazimah Hussin, Dr. Rafidah Othman, and Dr. Beni Widarman Yus Kelana, have exposed the participants to public and private healthcare management in Malaysia.
As most of the participants were medical doctors, pharmacists, and healthcare technologies back in their home countries, this program mainly aimed to provide them with the illustration of practices and policies, processes, techniques and strategies used in the Malaysian healthcare system. The one-week program was filled with classroom activities and visits to healthcare institutions such as Tawakal Hospital, Hospital Melaka, Lablink Medical Laboratory and Hospital Ampang. In addition to that, the participants also had an opportunity to visit the Kenya High Commission in Kuala Lumpur as well as enjoy the tour to Genting Highlands and Malacca city.
Congratulations to the team. We hope to see USIU again next year and that our collaboration will prosper into other areas.
