Mr Nor Hasrul Akhmal bin Ngadiman, a PhD student from the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, has made UTM proud by becoming a Winner of 3MT (Minute Thesis) Competition Global Engineers in Asia 2016 held at King Mongkut’s University of Technology Thornburi in Thailand. Mr Hasrul, was selected to represent UTM to Thailand after his winnings at the UTM and National level.

Earlier this year, Mr Hasrul has become a winner in UTM 3MT Competition (Engineering Track ) and Malaysia 3MT Competition (Engineering Track) held at Universiti Utara Malaysia.

The 3MT competition was held in the conjunction with the 3rd Joint Workshop for Global Engineers in Asia 2016 which was held on 25th – 31st July 2016. Joint Workshop for Global Engineers in Asia (JWGEA) 2016 is a joint effort between Institut Teknologi Sepuluh Nopember (ITS) from Indonesia, King Mongkut’s University of Technology Thonburi (KMUTT) from Thailand, Ritsumeikan University from Japan and Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM). The workshop aims to further strengthen their collaborations in the niche areas of engineering & technology among participating institutions.
