The University of Tsukuba-MJIIT UTM cooperation office was launched by YAB Minister of Higher Education Dato Seri Idris Jusoh. This marks another step forward for the collaboration between MJIIT and Tsukuba University. The office will be used to facilitate and advance matters pertaining to the collaboration, which includes student exchange, staff training, development of joint degree programs, etc.

The office will also serve as a satellite office for UTM, and is the second UTM satellite office in Japan. The first UTM satellite office, set up in 2009, is in Meiji University and is primarily used to facilitate the running of double degree programs between UTM and Meiji University.
