JOHOR BARU: A group of students pursuing a degree in Geomatics Engineering at Universiti Teknologi Malaysia here conducted a study on the partial solar eclipse on March 9.
The study, among others, was aimed at identifying the impact of the eclipse on gravitational forces, weather, animals, temperature and tides.
Astronomer and senior lecturer at UTM’s Geoinformation and Real Estate Faculty, Dr Othman Zainon o led the research in Malaysia which was participated by about 80 students and 10 staff.
