Two academic staff from the Faculty Of Civil Engineering bagged two medals at Invention, Innovation and Design Exhibition, IIDEX 2015 which is held from 27 April till 30 April 2015 in UiTM, Shah Alam Selangor.
The winners were Dr. Mohammadreza Vafaei (Project Title : Innovative Sliding Beam-to-Column Connection for Industrialized Building System) won gold medal and Dr. Sophia C. Alih (Project Title :Novel Hybrid Damper for Vibration Controlled Structures and Infrastructures in Malaysia) won silver medal.
IDEX 2015 is an annual International Exhibition and Competition organized by Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM).
IIDEX 2015 is set to boost innovation culture amongst students and researchers, encourage collaboration between academia and industries as well as funding innovation and invention projects.
